Christine Ryan-Chapple and Neville Chapple planted
the first olives on Wollundry Grove in October 1998, only a few months
after aquiring the property. These 1,300 trees were followed
by 700 the following year, with a final planting of 75 in 2003.
Originally the idea was to sell the olive fruit
to processors, but the exceptional growth and health of the trees,
as well as the increasing demand for high quality olive oil, inspired
the decision to create a Wollundry Grove range of olive
products.
In March 2010, the property was sold and handed
over to Bruce Spinks and Joo-Yee Lieu.
The farm, of nearly 11.5 hectares, is in a region
of gently sloping terrain dotted with majestic eucalypts, about 15
kilometres north east of Wagga Wagga.
